He wants to
go back, to change, back to when he didn’t feel the need to say anything at all.
Not

He wants to
change his profile photograph to a picture of a banana.
Because he
likes them; because they represent a metaphor, of sorts; and are a private
joke, all at the same time.
He finds
pleasure in this, because he hates change so.
