A body is just made
up of tiny violences.
But it fails me in
it’s question for
completion,
a squandered relic in
need.
I watch one another for being
fingered in Michigan, and
let that watch me waiting
or wondering how cold
it is there now, counting those
pinned up like wet paint upon an oak.
